As people who have been fighting to protect animals for more that 30 years, we have seen a lot of progress, though it is often slow, erratic and frustrating. So on the one hand, Mexico City banned killing or injuring bulls for entertainment purposes, but on the other hand, these bulls are still held captive and forced to perform – which puts them of the same level as circus elephants (which our combined efforts have mostly eliminated) or performing dolphins and whales (which are also becoming a thing of the past). So on one level, this is progress. But is it enough? Will it lead to more positive change? Please let us know what you think.
