One of the most disturbing and destructive things we humans have done to ourselves and to the world around us has been to convert millions of acres of beautiful and thriving wilderness into toxic and nearly lifeless monocrops exclusively designed for feeding the billions of animals who we than kill to feeding ourselves. Whenever someone converts this barren land back to its native state, it is occasion for celebration.
