Ever since Tofurky and other plant-based products began to gain traction in the marketplace, the powerful meat, dairy and egg industries have pouring countless millions of dollars flexing their big muscles and using every trick in the book in an attempt to prevent these interlopers from reaching their customers and cutting into their huge profits. One of their favorite tactics is to bully the vegan producers by creating crushing and completely unnecessary laws through state legislators to make the plant-based products appear unattractive and inferior to their animal-based competitors. The plant-based companies have largely held firm, at least in the US (a bit less so in much of Europe), but the animal killing industries have vast power and resolve and they will always be relentess, so we must be as well.
