In a huge victory for aquatic animals, the government of Mexico has banned all shows featuring aquatic animals and any other use of these animals beyond helping their care or the environment. The idea of forcing animals into servitude for the sake of entertainment is rapidly falling out of favor with more and more people as many aquatic parks are closing, circuses are removing animal acts, and dog fighting, cock fighting, bullfighting dog and horse racing, and rodeos are facing harsh laws and diminishing audiences. There is a long road ahead, but we are moving in the right direction.
