Most people who eat chickens believe, or at least pretend to believe, that the animals they eat lived happy bucolic lives pecking away though beautiful meadows in the bright sunshine. In fact, nearly all of the 70 billion chickens who end up on our plates each year, were raised in dark miserable ammonia-ridden barns, crowded so tightly they can barely move.
Open your eyes and your heart. Chicken is a product of intense misery and death.
