Like all sports based on the abuse of animals, horseracing is less and less popular every year. This month, Hawthorne Race Track, the last horseracing track in Illinois, closed their doors due to declining attendance, bankruptcy and a forced sale of their property to a developer who wants to convert it to something else. It seems that fewer and fewer people want to pay to see animals abuse.
