Thanks in part to the outsized influence of the manosphere, protein is suddenly everywhere from potato chips, to pasta, waffles and even coffee. But is maximizing protein as healthy as its hype? A recent review published in Cell Press Blue analyzed more than 350 studies on protein and aging, came to the conclusion that people who eat low or moderate protein diets live longer and healthier lives than people who eat high protein diets.
