Animal-based meat can never properly feed everyone and they are destroying the planet, killing tens of billions of animals each year, spawning pandemics and shortening the lives of millions of their consumers in their efforts to do so. As a consequence, two large competing industries have formed: one promoting a diet based on eating plants, which has grown substantially since the beginning of this century, despite the meat and dairy industries' best efforts to destroy it; and the other trying to promote a diet based on eating crickets and other insects and creepy crawlies. This industry has not captured the public's appetite yet. I don't think it's hard to see why.
