In 1993, we (Marla and John) went to our first Fur Free Friday event where we marched down State Street and Michigan Ave, stopping at every fur salon along the way to chant "Fur Is Dead!". Now most of the fur stores are long gone, and fur is actually, for all practical purposes, finally dead.
