Pigs are very sensitive, social and intelligent souls who, left to their own would form communities and care for and mentor their young. Of course, virtually all pigs live in foul smelling overcrowded prisons where they can't think about much beyond trying to survive in such a hostile environment. Then at the tender young age, they are shipped off to be slaughtered and turned into bacon and porkchops, and the smelly barns are filled to overcrowding with the next batch of unfortunate piglets who will live the same short lives and mechanical deaths, ad infinitum.
