Foie gras is one of those things that only exist to exert cruelty. Poor geese and ducks have funnels slammed down their throats that are filled with fatty foods in order to unnaturally and painfully engorge their livers which are then cut out to provide a so-called delicacy for mostly really wealthy people. Most people never eat the stuff and there is no good reason that it should continue to exist. Many countries have already banned its production, import and sale, and the sooner all the other countries ban it, the better.
