The Trump Administration has strived from the beginning to take as much money as possible out of the common good and put it in the hands of the most greedy and irresponsible people in the world. Their gutting of the Endangered Species Act is a prime example of that. A couple of weeks ago, we reported that the new wording in the Act proclaimed that destroying the habitat of endangered animals does not constitute harm, particularly when people want to use that space to mine, farm, log or anything else that brings them vast profits. Today, our meme explains that they have also cut out the rule that offered blanket protection for the most vulnerable animals. Instead, now any efforts to protect any species from extinction has to be weighed against the financial benefits that those wishing to destroy their habitat can gain from doing so. They are in a race to destroy the planet and everyone and everything on it just so they can expand their already immense wealth and power.
