We at Vegan Street (Marla and John) are proud "Biden vegans", though we have been fighting the beef industry since long before Biden became president (we are more accurately "Clinton vegans"). And yes, we have been loudly critical of the destructive environmental effects of the beef and dairy industries, particularly their deleterious effect on climate change. And if that, in some small measure, has helped fuel the skyrocketing beef prices, we're happy to take credit for it, though I think Mr Navarro has exaggerated our impact. In any event, tofu prices have remained pretty stable, so we can still afford to eat what we want. In fact, we welcome anyone who is frustrated with high beef costs to try some plant-based alternatives.
