The Denmark-based dairy cooperative, Arla, is the largest dairy producer in the UK and 4th largest in the world. They recently released a report that found that almost half of Gen Z respondents are “ashamed to order dairy in public in front of their peers,” and while 70% of Gen Z-ers would like to keep eating dairy, an “alarming” 57% plan to take dairy out of their diets in the next year." Arla's executives are blaming the statistics on what they see as an alarming rise in "cancel culture."
Perhaps, though, the reason is that more and more people are waking up to the horrors of the dairy industry.
