Yet another orca has died in captivity at SeaWorld, joining at least 49 others. this latest, named Amaya, was only six years old and the cause of her death is unknown. Orcas live between 50 and 80 years in the wild, but captive orcas tend to die much younger. It is really time to pressure SeaWorld to protect and care for the remaining orcas and other sea creatures in their custody, to stop forcing them to perform humiliating tricks and to give them adequate space to move around.
