(John, here) As you know, Marla and I have dedicated our lives to building the vegan movement and creating a healthier, more compassionate and more sustainable world. But it will be extremely difficult to continue our mission if we no longer live in a healthy Democracy. Today is the anniversary of the most significant threat to US Democracy since the Civil War more than 150 years ago. That threat continues to this day and it is incumbent for all of us to work to preserve it. We cannot foster a better and more just world while we allow authoritarians to take over our government.
