One more reason to not support institutions that keep animals in captivity, like aquariums. In the wild, orcas swim at least 40 miles a day on average to forage and exercise. They dive 100 to 500 feet, several times a day, every day, impossible in their little pools. They are highly social beings, living in complex, close matrilineal pods. In captivity, they are forced into a confinement that would be like the size of a small bathtub to a human, they are forced into new pods and denied the stimulation and exercise they are hardwired to enjoy.
Please observe them in the wild and stop supporting these cruel businesses.
