Finally, there are some governments that are starting to realize the urgency of the climate crisis and the immense role that animal agriculture plays in damaging our environment and humanity's future and are taking action about it. One shining example is the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands which has just banned all outdoor advertising that promotes the consumption of animal flesh. The ban also covers holiday flights, fossil fuels and cars that run on fossil fuels. The ban is delayed until 2024 due to existing contracts with companies that sell the products.
