For a lot of vegans, the worst part of the lifestyle is the relentless trolling by people who don't like the idea of people not eating meat. I personally think that they are insecure about themselves so they automatically assume that we're a threat to their preferred diet, but maybe they just like to bully people who are different from themselves or maybe they just want to wave their flags around.
These insults, often crudely disguised as what they believe to be useful information, haven't evolved the tiniest bit in the nearly 29 years since I turned vegan, We could have posted this meme 25 years ago if memes and social media had existed back then, and the comments would have been almost the same. For some reason, the trolls have been particularly prevalent the last few months and if you follow our social media pages, you may have seen some posts where the comment section has drawn huge troll gatherings like moths to a lightbulb. I suppose they think they are triggering us, but they rarely inspire more than an eyeroll or perhaps a pithy response. I do wish they'd get some new material, though.
