Tahini-Yogurt Dressing

This recipe creates one serving, though it is easy enough to expand to more, and this zesty, savory sauce works on salads but also baked potatoes, falafel, grain bowls: virtually anything you need a sauce for, this would work. Oil-free but rich, luscious and packed with Middle Eastern flavors, you will love it and it whips up in a snap!

1 tablespoon tahini
1 tablespoon plain non-dairy yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground cumin
Dash cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon or more water
Salt and pepper to taste


In a cup or small bowl, stir together the tahini, yogurt, lemon juice, garlic and cumin. It will be a thick paste. Add water until you reach the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to your preference.
