As recently as a few years ago, our world's tigers had dwindled to endangered status. But thanks to increased awareness, much improved conservation and better monitoring and tracking practices, the number of tigers in the world has increased by morethan 40% to between 3,726 and 5,578. The government of Nepal has also announced the almost tripling of its tiger population from 121 in 2010 to 355 today. It's great to have them back!
