Since Vegan Street began nearly 25 years ago, we have been repeatedly told that pigs will be able fly long before we will ever achieve our goal of a compassionate vegan society. Pigs still can't fly and in fact, worldwide, they are being killed and eaten in far greater numbers than they were in the 1990s, but we have never quit or even slowed down our mission, and a continually growing and emboldened number of voices have convinced tens of millions of people to examine the consequences of their diet and begin a process of replacing some of the animal products they eat with plant-based ones.
Still, millions of pigs and billions of other animals whose lives are destined to end up on our plates need our voices more than ever. We will always speak on their behalf, and we hope you will join us.
